Dear Members of the Internet Enterprise Council,
As the President of the IEC, I am honored to address you all today. Our organization was founded with a mission to improve digital and financial literacy in low-income communities. I am proud to say that we have made great strides toward achieving this goal.
The digital divide is a pressing issue that affects millions of people, especially those in low-income communities. It is heartbreaking to think that many individuals need access to high-speed internet and low digital literacy to participate in daily activities. This is a hindrance to their daily lives and their ability to participate in society's social, political, and economic aspects.
I am confident that the IEC is well-equipped to tackle this challenge head-on. Our educational programs, public forums, and partnerships with thought leaders in academia, the private sector, and civil society will help us close the digital divide and promote responsible technology use. We will work towards a more connected and prosperous world by empowering individuals and communities through education and technology literacy.
In conclusion, I express my deep gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the IEC team. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of millions of people. Let us continue our efforts to close the digital divide and empower communities through education and technology.
With deep appreciation for your ongoing support,
Ricardo Cordero
